Hi This is a grumpy old man who rides and works on bikes.. All day long..! So if l have to work on them then I want them to be good.

So where to start.. Maybe carbon the high end plastic.! If you want to be a sheep head then ride on carbon the non biodegradable non planet friendly bike material.... !!!! So where to start how long will it last, how will it ride and how different will it be to the guy next to you...
Pass on plastic you may have seen it on Sky jerseys. Well guys maybe pass on the carbon bike and stand by your jerseys statement and pass on it.  There is no problem with alloy or steel.. I think if you take a look alloy won the U.S Pro road titles.. And I still pull a few good A grade wins.

Now this is the sort of rot I will rant about over the next few months
1x drive systems
Steel road frames
Alloy road frames , narrow bars to go faster , getting low.. Etc.etc
